The Laws of Life (Part 2)
James
4:7
Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he
will flee from you.
How do
we gain back this territory from Satan, from that which
binds us?
PARDONED
63-1028
E-60 God
hates a powerless religion. It's got to be
power. It's a power to save a man from sin. It's a power
that can do signs and wonders and miracles as Jesus
Christ promised. They zeroed in on the Word of God
back there and believed it, and it hit the target. You
zero the same way on the Word of God, and it'll hit the
target again. It's got to, because He's the same
yesterday, today, and forever. God don't like a
powerless religion… God wants to perform. God wants to
show Hisself alive.

So, that's the way with preaching the Gospel. If it
doesn't stir up your spiritual gastronomics, it isn't
doing any good. What we need today is a big dose of the
Gospel poured down us. Exactly right. Might make you
sick and angry for a little while but you'll pray
through maybe. Oh, what a need there is this day.
It all
has to be possible, because if it can once be yours, and
it’s taken from you, it can be reclaimed. Samson
proved that! David proved that- lost his joy and
got things back again!. Job proved it! Bro.
Branham himself proved that after the death of his
wife and child;
Standing in the Gap!
Let’s
understand what the Bible means to resist evil:
MATTHEW 5:39
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but
whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to
him the other also.
EVIL
(Gr.)
full of
labours, annoyances, hardships; pressed and harassed by
labours bringing
toils, perils; time full of peril to Christian faith
and steadfastness; causing pain and trouble.
There
is a “physical or natural evil” in the world
happens because the divinely appointed harmony of
the earth has been “temporarily” disturbed. There is
a moral evil which is direct result of the
disorder in the spiritual world, and a failure of
men to conform to the character and conduct laid
down by God.
GOVERNMENT:
ROMANS 13:2
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the
ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to
themselves damnation.
SCRIPTURAL.SIGNS.OF.THE.TIME
64-0410 E-50 One day I was a hunting (with Burt Caul)
It's all right to kill a fawn now if the government says
so. I was game warden for years, and I'm still a
conservationist. I believe in animals, and I believe in
conservation. They're put here to eat. If you don't eat
some of them out, then they'll take a disease and die
out, or starve to death.
But just
what the law says, they know how to handle that. Let
them take care of it.
THINGS.THAT.ARE.TO.BE 65-1205 53 ... We don't want
to believe that, but the Bible plainly states it, that
every government, every kingdom of the earth is owned by
the devil and ruled by the devil. Jesus was taken by
Satan up and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world
that was, would be, whatmore; and Satan claimed them
his, and Jesus never argued with him, because he is the
god of this world.
WAY.OF.A.TRUE.PROPHET
63-0119 E-77
Amos never blamed the government in all of his
Scripture. But he blamed the people for electing such a
government. …Don't blame your government. The government
cannot build a house on a rock that the people votes for
sand. The people wants it.
PERSONAL.EXPERIENCE.WITH.GOD 54-0724 …I have to be
down to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to take some more of those
shots to go overseas. I try to tell them I don't need
them, but they won't listen to me. ... I don't need
those things, but the law says I must have them. So the
Bible said, "Give Caesar, what's Caesar's; God's what's
God's." So I'll have to take the shots, and then preach
the Gospel to them, won't I?
So that'll
be getting, God what's God's. Caesar, what's Caesar's.
I PETER
2:13
Submit
yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's
sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto
governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the
punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that
do well.
RISING.OF.THE.SUN 65-0418M 6-3 …I was tired, and my
arm hurting me from shots that the nurse gave me for...
Leave overseas now, as you know, in a few days, and I
must have these shots, son and I; and with cholera,
yellow fever and everything, I was pretty weary, making
me sick; which Caesar requires to have these shots
before you go into the other nations. And He said, "Give
Caesar that which is Caesar's, but then, give God that
which is God's."

You've got one of the best churches I ever walked into
in my life of anywhere, on any continent. Life
Tabernacle's one of my favorites. It breaks my heart to
see you letting the world reach into you the way you're
doing. So don't do that no more. Snap out of it. Pray
out of it, and let God come back and take over. Submit
yourselves to God and get the old fashion blessing back
again. And Shreveport, you dear, dear southerners
down here, who are the finest people I ever met... I
don't say that to compromise with you; I say it because
I love you. …And I tell you, don't let the world creep
into you. Don't let the world get into your churches,
brethren.
Pray it out,
fast it out until God comes down and takes a hold.
That's right. Keep the joy of the Lord among the saints.
Keep them prayed up. And guard every little place.
1.
Make a Full Surrender
REVELATION 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous
therefore, and repent.
The
principle of God’s correction: comes with a Message,
don’t be like Esau who didn’t value what he had, never
knew the value of the possession (birthright) and
therefore could give it away! Only after he lost it did
he realize what he had taken for granted.
HEBREWS 12:11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be
joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it
yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them
which are exercised thereby.12 Wherefore lift up the
hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make
straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. 14
Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which
no man shall see the Lord: 15 Looking diligently lest
any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many
be defiled; 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or
profane
person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his
birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he
would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for
he found no place of repentance, though he sought it
carefully with tears.
SHALOM
64-0119 13 So we face this year just like we do all
years; there is a regret of our mistakes in the past,
and a looking forward for a future of the glorious Light
of Christ. No doubt, if we live through this year, we'll
find many mistakes that we have made, and we just expect
that because it goes along the pro and con. That's the
law of average that we live by here in this life. But
we're so glad we have a Mediator Who sets at the right
hand of God to make intercessions. When we are willing
to admit our mistakes that we done wrong, then He
forgives them. He's full of grace and mercy to forgive
us for those mistakes.
2. Ask
God for cleansing by the Blood.
I JOHN 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we
have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
MODERN.EVENTS.MADE.CLEAR.BY.PROPHECY 65-1206 329 …We
thank You for the Blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We
thank You because He makes us clean this minute. We ask
forgiveness of our wrongs, our stupidity, Lord, our
stumbling in the dark. O God, may we rise and shine, and
walk in the evening Light, and be the fruit of the Tree
that's coming forth by the evening Light.
THINGS.THAT.ARE.TO.BE 65-1205 63 This one come by
sex and from the fall and must fall with the fall. No
matter how much you patch the old thing up, she's going
to fall anyhow. … And it (EARTH) was baptized by
immersing in the days of Noah. Then it was sanctified by
the Blood of the Creator dropping upon it. And now,
that's the way you come: through justification to
believe God. You were baptized unto repentance for the
remission of your sins. You confessed your sins before
God, and He forgive you for it. And you was baptized to
show that you'd been forgiven, confessing to the people
and showing to the world that you believe that Jesus
Christ died for you, and He took your place, and now you
stand in His place. He become you that you might become
Him.
Then the
sanctifying power of God cleansed all the habits out of
your life. You used to smoke, drink, do things that
wasn't right, tell lies, everything. Then the
sanctifying power of the Blood of Jesus Christ comes
into your life; it takes all the things away from you.
If you happen to say, something's got wrong, quickly you
say, "Wait a minute; pardon me, I didn't mean to say it
like that." See? The devil got a trap setting there, but
you've got grace to come back if you're a real
Christian, say, "I was wrong." Yes.
ELIJAH.AND.MEAL.OFFERING
60-0310 64 Talk about running around with the world and
flirt with the world, and then expect to see Angels and
have miracles done, it's out of God's program.
You must
live right. Clean up the house; clean up your habits;
clean up the things of the world; get rid of your cards
and your worldly association; get ready, and then the
Angel of God can speak and say, "Fear not, it's I." Then
things take place.

Reclaim: (to oppose)
EPHESIANS 6:13
Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all,
to stand.
II TIMOTHY 3:8
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do
these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds,
reprobate concerning the faith.
PSALMS
23:3
He restoreth
my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for
his name's sake.
Restoreth: (to
be brought back, returned)
ZECHARIAH 10:9
And I
will sow them among the people: and they shall
remember me in far countries; and they shall live
with their children, and turn again. 10 I will bring
them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather
them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the
land of Gilead and Lebanon; and [place] shall not be
found for them.
MALACHI 4:5
Behold,
I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming
of the great and dreadful day of the LORD 6 And he
shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children,
and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest
I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Build Strongholds of Truth:
JUDE
1:20
But ye,
beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep
yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of
our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY
63-0728 13-1 …If the brother, you think he's a little
wrong, or the sister, say, "Lord, don't let me ever have
the root of bitterness spring up, 'cause it'll affect
him, and it'll take the Christ right out of my life."
That poison acids of malice, and jealousy, and hatred,
that'll just take the Holy Spirit right away from you.
It'll run Him from the Tabernacle here. It'll kill the
Spirit of God or drive it away from here, hurt your
pastor; it'll do everything. Don't you do that.
5.
Submit:
I
CORINTHIANS 16:16 That ye submit yourselves unto
such, and to every one that helpeth with [us], and
laboureth.
IT.WASN'T.SO.FROM.THE.BEGINNING 62-0630B E-72
Forgive our many weaknesses, Lord. We don't intend to do
anything wrong, Lord, but through flesh we do make
mistakes daily. So in order to stay alive in Christ, we
have to die to our own thoughts. So keep us dead to
ourselves and alive in Him. Let our bodies be so, and
our soul so submissive to Him that people will see the
reflection of Christ as we go, or come, or whatever we
do.
EPHESIANS 5:22
Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the
Lord.
REV.CHAP.4.PT.3.THRONE.MERCY
61-0108 162
(Ephesians 5: Submit yourselves one to another in the
fear of God.) ..." Congregation, submit yourself to
your pastor. Pastor, submit yourself to your
congregation. If a little clique rises up, don't be on
either side; submit yourself to the whole congregation.
Congregation, if you start in a clique, submit yourself
to your pastor in the fear of God.
HEBREWS 13:17
Obey them
that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for
they watch for your souls, as they that must give
account, that they may do it with joy, and not with
grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.
DOES.GOD.CHANGE.HIS.MIND
65-0418E 96
…We
must submit ourselves to His will and His Word. Don't
question It, believe It. Don't try to find a way around
It, just take It the way It is. So many wants to go
around, get some other way. And when you do, you find
yourself going on, you find God blessing you, but you're
working in His permissive will and not in His perfect
Divine will.
INFLUENCE
63-0803E 58 Now, we notice that this king... Uzziah,
that when he was called down by the man who had the
authority to take the censer in, the consecrated man for
the service... When he called him down, he got angry
with him. Oh, what a cursed thing that would be.
When a man tries to point out to a fellow that you're in
the wrong and prove it to him by the Word of God,
"You're in the wrong." And then the man, because that he
feels in himself he'll do what he wants to, and won't
submit to the Word, then he gets angry.
You
noticed what happened to the king? Leprosy broke out in
his face while he was still in his anger. Leprosy struck
Uzziah in the face, and the priests and those recognized
it, and threw him out of the temple, and he died a
leper. That great life that started out so well, ended
up to be a leper, and cast out, and had to live in a
separate house out to himself all the days of his life,
the man that the life that God once influenced.
I PETER
5:5
Likewise, ye
younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of
you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with
humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace
to the humble.
Praying Through
Fasting
is a voluntary absence of particular aspects of life in
order to seek deeper dimensions of fellowship and
blessing from God.
Absolute
Fast:
Matt. 4:2; Ex.
34:28
Partial Fast:
Daniel 1:8, Matt. 3:4
1.
Seeking the will or wisdom of God in a matter:
2
Sam. 12:16 (David’s child dying)
2.
Seeking a spiritual breakthrough or a victory over
something:
MATTHEW 17:21 Howbeit this
kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
3. Crying
out to God in the confession of sin, as the weight of
our own transgressions (and of others) becomes more
apparent:
NEHEMIAH 1:3
And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the
captivity there in the province are in great affliction
and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down,
and the gates thereof are burned with fire 4 And it came
to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and
wept, and mourned certain] days, and fasted, and prayed
before the God of heaven,
4.
Humbling of the Soul for Answers, for Another:
PSALMS 35:11
False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge
[things] that I knew not. 12 They rewarded me evil
for good [to] the spoiling of my soul.13 But as for
me, when they were sick, my clothing [was]
sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my
prayer returned into mine own bosom.14 I behaved
myself as though [he had been] my friend [or]
brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth
[for his] mother.
COD

And will
every true believer do the works that Jesus said, as
stated in St. John 14:12 (Not exactly. No.): heal the
sick, cast out devils, raise the dead (I don't think
that's in St. John 14, but it's all right. It's Mark
16.),or is this only to be Elijah? Must the believer do
all of this that really believe? And if he really is a
real believer, will he raise the dead and do great
miracles?
Now, that
is among the believers. See? Every man doesn't have
those gifts, and don't mean that just one person will do
it; there'll be groups of people. Like for instance,
what if we had a little girl here in the church, or a
little boy, or somebody that we love real well, and life
would go out of them. The whole church would get
together, and they'd go to pray and fasting: "Lord, have
mercy on that child." See? God could raise it up.
How many
ever read the Nicene Fathers and them? You know, that's
the way they did it in the early church. They'd all get
together, you know, and even raise up their pastor
sometime and different ones like that, if God seen fit
to do it; but they did it.
CONFERENCE.WITH.GOD 59-1220M E-49 But when God calls
a conference, it's fasting, cleaning up, prayer,
receiving orders, and going forward. That's God's
conference, not feasting, but fasting, not indulging in
filth, but separating, cleansing yourself from all
unrighteousness when you go before God. …Then God gives
you orders; then you go forward; He goes with you.
VOICE.OF.THE.SIGN 64-0313 E-9 You're each one set in
God's economy just for its place. One fasts all the time
and communes with God, while another casts out devils
because this one's fasting. But it's the whole body of
Christ working together, the unity.
WAY.OF.A.TRUE.PROPHET 62-0513M 22-5 I do believe in
a purgatory, but I believe it's right now. You purge
your own soul. "Purgatory" means "to purge." When you
see you've doing something wrong, get out there and
clean it out of you by confession, and crying, and
fasting, and praying. Someone even laughed at me when
the Lord came here not long ago, give me a vision that I
always wanted to see about binding that serpent. I
always wondered how to--how if I should step out like
that, when I--that's what I've wanted all my life. Then
I begin to fast and pray. Said, "What'd you do that
for?" I said, "In there He said that I was not sincere
enough." Actually to come down want to purge myself, not
wait till you die and let some priest try to purge you.
Purge your souls.
GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY 64-0206E 27 …You know, they've
never found a way better for a chicken to get born in
this world than peck hisself out of his shell. They
never have found a better way. The little fellow's born
with a little snoot on the end of his bill. And that
little bill he got to go to work, and go to scratching,
scratching back and forth till he gets his head started,
gets his head out, picks His way free.
It's God's
provided way. You pull him out of the shell, it'll kill
him. He won't live if you pull him out of the shell. He
has to come God's way.
That's
what's the matter with Christians today. We've so
soft-soaped them, and shook their hands, and brought
them in by secret, and joined them into the church. What
they need is an old fashion prayer altar, where they
pray through until losing themselves, coming God's
provided way, till they free themselves from the world.
Trouble of it is today, they put their name on the book,
and join church, and that's all there is to it. But
God's way, provided way, is to stay there and work your
way through, until God gives you the new birth. That's
exactly right. Pick him out, it'll kill him.
George
Washington, Mark, Daniel, Moses All Prayed Trough:
ABSOLUTE.A 63-0304 E-52 Tie to there, stay there and
pray, not just get down and "God, deliver the poor
little fellow and send him home." We'd all like that.
But let's stay there until something happens. Oh, when
something happens, then that assurance could fall
amongst this little handful of people setting in this
auditorium here tonight, could fall among us right here,
enough faith and power of God... If we could pray
through till we strike that home-line, till that
Absolute comes down--that same Pillar of Fire that was
taken here in Houston by Ted Kipperman's camera twelve
years ago... He's here tonight, just as great as He was
then, to deliver that boy if we'll just believe it,
because He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. I
believe it with all my heart. That's why I'm here to
offer my prayer with you all that God will spare their
life. Then if you could pray through until you've got a
answer back, got the assurance back, like Washington
had, like John Mark had, like Daniel had, like Moses
had, till you've got an absolute, something that you
know that you can anchor to... "Then upon this absolute
I'll build My church,"... and all the courts in the land
cannot resist that.
IN.HIS.PRESENCE 62-0909E 34 Now remember, if such
holy men recognized themselves sinners in the Presence
of God, what will the sinner and ungodly do at that day?
What will people do who set in the meetings? What will
the people do that seen the power of God, that's heard
the countdown on the Word, that seen God manifest
Himself, and (beyond a shadow of doubt) every Scripture
fulfilled, and will still try to make it to heaven
without being born again and receive the Holy Ghost? The
Bible said, "If a righteous man be scarcely saved, where
will the sinner and ungodly appear?" What kind of a
place are we going to stand in if we see God unfold
Hisself right before us, and see the Glory of God just
the same as them men did, and that kind of men cried
out, prophets and sages upon whom the Word is based
upon? If they cried, and fell to their feet, and
screamed, "I'm man of unholy lips, uncleanness," what
will it be then for that man who won't even confess his
sins? What will it be for that teenager that won't
confess his or her sin? What will it be for that
hardhearted man that thinks he knows more about God's
creation than God does Himself? What will happen to that
man that's spent all of his life trying to disprove the
Bible, where will that guy appear at? Think of it. |
