Things God Will Do...
EPHESIANS 3:20-21
Now unto him
that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that
we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in
us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
JESUS.CHRIST.THE.SAME 63-0627 56 Now, if Jesus
Christ will appear before us tonight, and we can see by
God-given principles, and by the very acts of His Being,
that He's here, then we should at least accept Him,
make Him welcome. Now, that's a great big statement,
but we have a great big God that keeps every one of His
Words. And when we find anything in the Bible, hang
your soul on it. It's the Truth. Just stay right with
what God promised. God will do.
GOD.WHO.IS.RICH.IN.MERCY 65-0119 109 …His Word
always comes to pass in Its season, His seed that He has
sowed into the earth. What did He do? He put it here in
the Word, and that's a Seed. And every time the age
comes along, that seed ripens up, and then a reformation
comes forth
1.
There is a predestinated mystery in redemption and
salvation
II TIMOTHY 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having
this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let
every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from
iniquity.
JOEL
2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the
locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller,
and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among
you.
2.
Vengeance.
Rom. 12:19
Dearly
beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place
unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will
repay, saith the Lord.
EXPLAINING.HEALING & JAIRUS 54-0216 23 …Satan does
not tempt down in here (soul), he tempts out here in the
flesh. For instance, you go down the street tomorrow,
you're walking along singing Christian songs, and
somebody says, "You know, she or he, is just a hypocrite
(talking about you.); there's nothing..." Now, the first
thing, your flesh picks that up in the ear, and it
suggest to the mind, "Get even with him." Time it gets
back here, he says, this back here says, "'Vengeance…
repay.'" So Satan tempts out here. He doesn't get down
here, because is immortal. It's the flesh that he
tempts.
3. The
Lord fights for His people.
Ex. 14:14
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your
peace.
JEREMIAH 1:19
And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not
prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith
the LORD, to
deliver thee.
Joshua
10 Story of the 5 kings who came against Israel.
4. He
remains true to what He’s already stated.
(For better or worse!)
JOB
23:13
But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what
his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
He
doesn’t wink at sin!
END.TIME.EVANGELISM
62-0603 161 Then God's standing there like a great
pressure. You can't exhaust God. …Could you imagine a
little fish about that long, swimming out in the middle
of the ocean, saying, "I better drink of this water
sparingly, because, you know, it might go dry sometime"?
…He wants to bless you. He's ready; He's
pressing. Could you imagine taking all the waters in the
earth, the seas and everything, and piling it in one
four-foot pipe and put it up there? The pressure would
be on the bottom of it, trying to find a little crevice
to leak its way through. That's like the pressure of the
Holy Spirit trying to come down on every life.
333-3
- CHURCH.AGE.BOOK "These things saith the Faithful
and True Witness." Now I want to show you what I find in
the thought of "faithful". …And when we speak of Him
after that manner we often get a view of Him that makes
Him seem very impersonal. It is as though God made the
whole universe and all the laws that pertain to it and
then stood back and became a great impersonal God. It is
as though God made a way of salvation for lost mankind,
that way being the cross, and then when the death of
Christ has atoned for our sins, and His resurrection
gave us an open door to Him, God just folded His arms
and stood back. It is as if we majored in believing in a
great Creator, Who having created, lost personal
interest in His creation. But that is wrong thinking,
for God is GOVERNING IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN RIGHT NOW. HE
IS BOTH CREATOR AND SUSTAINER. Colossians 1:16-17.
"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven,
and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether
they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or
powers; all things were created by Him, and for Him: And
He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."
He is a Sovereign God. By His own counsel He
purposed the plan of the salvation of His own elect
which He foreknew. …He is working all things at this
moment according to the purpose of His own will. He is
right in the midst of it all. He is in the midst of His
church. This great Creator, Saviour-God is faithfully
working amongst His own right now as the great Shepherd
of the sheep. His very existence is for His own. He
loves them and cares for them. His eye is ever upon
them. When the Word says that "your lives are hid with
Christ in God" it means exactly what it says. Oh, I am
so glad that my God abides faithful. He is true to
Himself, He won't lie. He is true to the Word, He will
back it up. He is true to us, He will lose none of us,
but raise us up in the last day. I am glad that I am
resting in His faithfulness. Philippians 1:6.
"Being
confident of this very thing, that He Which hath begun a
good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus
Christ."
WORKS.IS.FAITH.EXPRESSED 65-1126 99 Well, that's the
same way with preaching Divine healing or anything
else.…You've got to learn, and you've got to learn how
to accept God and what it really means. We… sometimes
say, "Well, this guy didn't have enough faith; this guy
didn't do this and this. There's a reason there for
that. Sometime it's unconfessed sin. You could pour a
gallon of oil on a person, and scream till you got
hoarse; it would never move that devil. You've got to
confess that. That's what discernment does, say, "Go
make that right; bring that out."
5. He
alone holds the key to your understanding.
I Cor. 2:
I CORINTHIANS 2:11
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the
spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God
knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have
received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit
which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we
speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual. 14
But the
natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of
God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
JESUS.CHRIST.THE.SAME 58-0207
64 The psychic word is all right, just to speak and
preach... But listen. It's come to a time. See? It's
come to a time where the God Who raised up Jesus
Christ... The God of Elijah still lives. Certainly He
does. Look …many of you folks have walked with Him daily
and didn't realize what it was. Those who love Him,
Cleopas and his friend going to Emmaus. They'd walked
all day and talked with Him; they didn't know Who He
was. His resurrection day, three days before He was
watching down on the cross, and here these the same
Man...
How many
knows that God can shut eyes or open eyes? Certainly He
can.
WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC
65-0221E 50 …God's sovereign. Who was back yonder to
tell Him a better way to make the world? ... Even the
revelation is sovereign. He reveals to whom He will
reveal. The very revelation itself is sovereign in
God. That's how people pound at things, and jump at
things, and hit at things, and not knowing what they're
doing.
MARY'S.BELIEF 60-0311 21 Zacharias the priest, the
husband of her cousin, he doubted that same Angel, when
He said after the days of the ministration at the
temple, he would go home and live with his wife,
Elisabeth, and she'd bring a son. And he said, "I'm too
old, it can't be done." Oh, he just doubted it. And he
had Abraham and Sarah to look at; he had Hannah at the
temple, and Eli her husband to think of. But that
callous priest doubted God's Word.
But as
Brother Shakarian said the other day, over in the
island, when I saw my mother-in-law die, five days
before it happened. And my brother-in-law have a
hemorrhage, and spit blood out from his mouth, just
squirted from his mouth. Brother Simore said, 'Let us go
in and pray, that this won't happen."
I said, "It won't do one bit of good. God has already
said it; it's got to happen." God, when He says
anything, it's impossible for it not to happen.
Therefore when God says in the Book, "All things are
possible to them that believe," it's got to happen! No
way to explain it away. You can believe God will perform
every promise that He made.
God will
fulfill His Word by bringing it to pass:
WHO.DO.YOU.SAY.THIS.IS?
64-1227 82 …God would take His Word that He promised for
this day, and anoint It, and It would happen. There's
no way to keep It from happening. It'll do it
anyhow, no matter what the church says and what the rest
of them believes and it... God will do it anyhow.
There'll be just a very few that'll ever know about it.
It's always was that way.
RESURRECTION.OF.LAZARUS 50-0813A 24 Notice that the
Angel of God will perform His Word. He'll bring His Word
to pass regardless. When the season comes, harvesters
are ripe, God is going to send His Word and perform His
things. I believe that God is going to call a people out
of the Gentiles for His Name in this great latter
movement here of a revival sweeping the nation. And if
the holiness people don't want it, He will raise it up
out of something else. That's right. It's got to be.
It's got to come. He's able of these stones to rise
children unto Abraham.
MODERN.EVENTS.MADE.CLEAR.BY.PROPHECY _ 65-1206 73
The Word always comes to His prophet. …It's got to come
God's channeled route that He foretold us about, and
that's the only way It'll ever come. It'll be hated,
despised, rejected. When It does come, It'll be throwed
out to one side and everything, but God will do it
anyhow. It was rejected in Jesus Christ; in John;
Jeremiah; Moses. It's always that way. But God moves
right on in the way that He promised He would do it. He
never does fail to do it the same way.
NOAH:
COURT.TRIAL 64-0412 36 "Well, prophet Noah, we
always knowed you was a false prophet, 'cause you've got
foolish ideas that don't cope with science. It don't
cope with the modern trend. ... There's something wrong.
We know that you're not really a prophet, but you said
it was going to rain. That was a month ago. No rain
yet." Two years passed. "Hey, hey, prophet. I thought
you said that God said so." "He did say so." "Well, two
years has passed." Five, twenty, fifty years... The
ark's completed, Noah setting in the door. Here comes
Mr. Scoffer, Mr. Unbeliever, Mr. Skeptic, Mr. Impatient.
"Well, now where is the rain?" "God said it was going to
rain. He didn't say when. He said it was going to rain.
He didn't say when; He just said, 'It's going to rain.
Get an ark; you'd be safe in it. It's going to rain.' He
didn't say when it was going to rain. He said it's going
to rain. And I've built the ark."
"Well, it
looks to me like, if you built the ark, and you've done
your part, God will do His part."
"He will,
but He didn't say when He would do it. He just said it's
going to do it. It's going to rain."
God will
respond to the language of faith.
PROVING.HIS.WORD 65-0426 28 …It's the attitude that
always brings the results. It's the attitude that you
take towards God. Here's a woman touched His garment;
she was healed with a blood issue. A soldier spit in His
face, and put a crown of thorns on His head, and felt no
virtue. It's your approach. The attitude is what it
takes. …We
are, and believe that we are in the Presence of Jesus
Christ, but it's your attitude that brings the results.
The mechanics is here and so is the dynamics. If you can
just get started, God will do the rest.
JEHOVAH.JIREH.3
60-0803 17
Well, next coming was an old Indian woman, looked to be
about seventy-five years old with broom sticks cut off
for crutches, and rags wrapped around a stick that went
over the part went over her arms. And she was holding
herself like this in the door. And I motioned to her.
And she put one stick out like that, and moved her foot,
then the other one. I just took my time, and waited for
her. And she come up close to where I was, and I
thought, "What's the old lady going to do?" And I seen
her hair hanging down, old leather platted in it, you
know, and turning gray. I thought, "Poor old thing,
probably raised a bunch of children. How pitiful. Wished
I could speak her language."
And she
looked up to me like that, and them little bitty, deep
set eyes, turning kindly a pale looking, great big
wrinkles in the cheeks, and tears cutting their way down
through them wrinkles. Oh, my heart just went out to the
old thing. And she looked at me like that, kindy smiled,
reached over and got one crutch and put it in the other
hand, and handed them over to me, and went walking off
the platform just like anybody else. Now, I tell you,
just no prayer; she didn't ask for any. Her faith made
her well.
Story of
the boy healed of syphilis and plane in Memphis:
GOD.HAS.A.PROVIDED.LAMB
64-0620E 81
I remember, one night coming from Dallas, Texas. I was
grounded at Memphis. …And I'd slept good through the
night, and got up the next morning, had written some
letters, was going down to the post office to mail them.
I went out and started down the street. And all of a
sudden, I felt Something said, "Stop, and go back." …And
as I walked back, faster, faster, and I passed right on
by the hotel and went down towards the river, way down.
86 You
believe being led of God? And as I went on down along, I
knowed I had to hurry, but Something just kept saying,
"Go on, go on." And as I went along down the street, I
looked, and there was an old typical Aunt Jemima leaning
out over her little fence, and a little, colored house
there, a little, whitewashed cabin like, leaning out
over the fence. She said, "Good morning, parson." I
said, "Good morning, auntie." 92 I looked back, and I
thought, "How did she know I was a parson?" And I didn't
have a Bible or nothing. I turned back. I said, "How did
you know I was a parson?" She said, "I knowed you was
coming." And I said, "Kinda strange to me." And she
said, "Did you ever read in the Bible about the
Shunammite woman?" …Said, "And she promised the Lord,
and she was going to raise that baby to the Lord, of
course." And said, "You know, I was that kind of a
woman." She said, "I couldn't have no children, the
husband and I." And said, "I promised the Lord, if He'd
give me a baby, that I would raise it for Him." And
said, "He gave me a baby." And said, "I raised that boy
the best I could, to serve the Lord." She said, …he got
in the wrong company, and he got a disease …social
disease," syphilis.
96 And
said, "I just can't stand to see my baby die like that."
And she said, "I prayed all night, 'Lord, if You're
going to take him... You give him to me; but I want to
hear him say he's saved, so I know I'd meet him again.'"
And said, "I prayed, and I prayed the prayer like about
mentioned the Shunammite woman. I went to sleep, and I
dreamed a dream." She said, "And I said to the Lord,
said, 'You give me the baby.' And said, 'I was like the
Shunammite woman, but where is Your prophet?' ... He
said, 'Look, coming here.' And I seen a man with a
little hat setting on the side of his head, wearing that
gray suit, coming down the street." And said, "That was
about four o'clock this morning." She said, "I've been
standing here ever since." He's still God. He answers on
both ends.
99 I
said, "My name is Branham. I pray for the sick. Did you
ever hear of my ministry?"
She said,
"No, sir, Parson Branham, I never did hear of you." And
she said, "Won't you come in?"
…And I've
been in some of the finest homes, I guess, in Hollywood.
But I never was any more welcome than I was in that one.
110 And I said, "Auntie, will you pray first?" And, my
friend, I knowed she'd talked to Him before. Oh, what a
prayer she made to God. Then she said, "Will you pray?"
"Yes, ma'am."
I said,
"Heavenly Father, I'm at least a hour late for the
plane. You told me to come down here, and just keep
coming. And then I don't know whether this is where You
wanted me, or not, but this is where I've stopped. If
You sent me to pray for this boy..." And about that
time, he said, "Oh, mama!"
She said,
"What does mama's baby want?" Said, "It's getting light
in the room." About five minutes, he was setting up on
the bed.
114 I
rushed out, went on down. I thought, "Well, I can just
only get a cab; that's all; and wait over a day, or
whenever I can get another plane." Just as I was going
into the gate, two hours and something late, I heard him
say, "Last call for flight number sixty-seven, to
Louisville, Kentucky."
What?
The sovereignty of God! See? The prayer and faith of
that poor, little, insignificant Negro woman, grounded
that plane and held it there. He's the same God that
could stop and turn around to a blind beggar at the
walls of Jericho. He's the same God yesterday, today,
and forever. It's faith that does it. He wants you to
believe it. 117 By the way, about two years later I
was going through there on a train, going, coming back
to Phoenix.
He will
bring you to your place:
WHY.SO.HARD.TO.LIVE.CHRISTIAN.LIFE 57-0303A 55 Oh,
brother, intellectual will never do it. Mental
conception will never do it. It's the work of the
Holy Spirit that brings the human being to his place.
"I promise Eternal Life to them that believe." "I
believe, Holy Spirit." "I'll seal You." Then watch
your life begin to move, not the church, the Holy
Spirit; not the denomination, the Holy Spirit.
COUNTDOWN 62-0909 15 And I pray and thank You for
giving us good rest in our bodies, and for the knowledge
that we have of Your Word, and the understanding we have
of the Spirit, and constantly praying that You'll give
us greater understanding so that we might not be a vain,
puffed up people by it, but a humble people, in order
that the Holy Spirit might be able to use us to the
fulfilling of the Word of God, and to place us
positionally where we need to be at this hour. For we
must be at the right place for it to happen. And we want
to be, Lord. If it's a housewife behind the table, if
it's a factory man with a wrench in his hand, and a
testimony, if it's for the minister in the pulpit, or
the deacon or trustee, or for the child at school, the
teenager in the discussion at the class, wherever it is,
Lord, let us be there at the right time. For we know
You've promised it, and it's going to happen because You
said so, and, why, it's our faith is built there.
RESPECTS 61-1015E 53 And that, and because that God
is God, He deserves a respect. That's right. And He,
we've got to respect Him and give a fear to Him, and
that brings respect. God has demanded that for Himself
and for all His servants. God demands respects for His
servants. His servants, how we know that they're His
servants, because He a-vindicates these servants by His
Word. He takes these servants and makes them servants of
God, and proves that they are servants, by making His
Word work through them servants. Then as you respect
that servant, you respect God. So when I respect you,
and you respect me, and we respect each other, then
we're respecting God.
Story
of Bro. Branham Demanding an Answer from God:
WARNING.THEN.JUDGMENT 63-0724 132 Now, I want to
show you another Jonah in the platform tonight. One
night there was a people that come here.... Just one of
those kind of people that when a revival was going on
they could come to church; when the revival was off, and
the load was pulling, nobody would pull.
135 And
one day I come home about four years ago, or five,
something like that. And this young girl, she'd been
married and had two children. And she was laying out in
the hospital out here at the point of death. She was
about four months, five, with a baby; and the baby had
died, and they couldn't operate 'cause she had uremic.
And they couldn't operate, so had to let the mother die
too. Can't operate, and the baby would kill her like
that, so they had... She was just dying, that's all,
wasn't no chance for her. I went out to see if she'd
sent for me. And I went into the hospital, and there she
was under oxygen tent. I raised up the little flap,
talked to her a little bit, and I said, "You remember
me?" She said, "Sure, Brother Bill, I remember you."
I said,
"... Do you understand how sick you are?" She said, "I
do." Said, "That's why I sent for you."
I said,
"ell, why, how is it with you and the Lord?" She said,
"Brother Bill, I'm not ready to go."
Well,
there we got down and prayed, and her mother and her
husband, many of them in the room, and her mother and
husband started crying. And--and then I--I asked her,
and she got right with God, paid her vows and come back
and made God the promise, and if she'd be forgiven, how
she loved Him, and sorry for her sins, the way she had
lived, and went on with her repentance and crying. And
after while I got up and went out of the building.
139 And
the next morning the called me up to come back out
there. And come to find out, they come in that morning
for a test and to see how the--the uremic condition had
advanced, and found out she didn't have a speck of it.
It was all gone, every bit of the uremic poison had left
her.
140 Well,
two or three times that day they tested her again. And
that night late, they tested her, nothing wrong, was
perfectly all right. And they prepped her, took her out
from under the oxygen tent. Everything was fine. They
was going to operate on her the next morning, take the
baby. Well, I went out there. And because that this was
done... Now, I never knew it; I never knew. But, oh, my,
to see such a--a thing, her husband, being a sinner,
come over and said, "Brother Branham, I--I want to give
my life to the Lord Jesus." And I said, "All right, just
kneel down here and take hold of your wife's hand, and
then you walk this straight life together."
143 The
mother come back; she said, "Brother Branham, you know,
here's me and my children," said, "we've all been in and
out, and in and out, and around the Tabernacle, and
things. We set and listen at you preach, and we'll go up
to the altar and come back." Said, "I'm backslid too,
Brother Branham." She said, "I want to come back to the
Lord Jesus for His goodness to my child." Well, you see,
that--that's very nice, but you don't come to the Lord
Jesus because of that.
Along
towards midnight, twelve, one o'clock, her mother dozed
off to sleep. And she said, called her, said, "Mother."
And she
said, "Yes, honey, what do you want?" She said, "You
know, I'm so happy." She said, "I'm so glad of you being
happy." Said, "I'm at peace with God." And said, "Oh,
how fine it is." In a few minutes again she called back,
she said, "Mother." Said, "Yes?" Said, "I'm going home."
And she said, "I know you are." She said, "Yes,
sweetheart," said, "the doctor will take the baby
tomorrow. And then about a day or two, when your
incisions heal up and you get away from here, you go
back home and be happy again, you and your hubby and the
little children, and be a Christian and live for God."
She said,
"Mother, I mean I'm going to my heavenly home."
She said,
"Sure, honey, at the end of the journey." She said,
"This is the end of the journey." "Oh," she said, "now,
what's the matter?" Said, "The end of the journey." So
said, "Yes, mother, within a few minutes I'll be gone."
Well, she
thought she'd just got nervous and delirious. She called
the nurse; the nurse taken her respiration. Everything
was normal. And within five minutes she was gone; she
was dead.
And then
when I come back home in a week or two after that... I
think Brother Graham preached the girl's funeral. When I
come back home and Meda told me that that girl died that
night, my, ... I went to see the mother. "
149 And I
don't know what caused me to do it, but I said, "Lord
God, You owe me an understanding after me going out
there and--and telling that husband, and him coming to
the Lord after You done these things for him, and all
like that, and then take that girl's life like that." I
said, "You owe me an understanding."
When you
tell God something like that, He'll leave you setting
alone. He don't owe me nothing. I'm in debt to Him.
Well, He just let me pout it out for a few days, you
know. And after about three or four months, one day I
was out on the creek bank, and the Lord spoke to me in a
vision, and said, "Now, go to her mother, and say this
to her mother, 'Did not her time come the year before
that, when she was drowning in a creek on a picnic? She
should've went at that time, but I had to take her when
she was ready to go.' And that's why all this happened
and why you went out there."
Then I
got down and cried. I said, "Lord Jesus, forgive me,
Your poor stupid servant. I should have never said that,
Lord."
152 And
I'd went back down to the lady; she lived over here on
Market Street. And I went over to her, and I said, "I
want to ask you a question."She said, "Sure, Brother
Bill." And I said, "Is it true that this girl almost
drowned?"
She said, "That's
right, Brother Branham." Said, "Her husband and
they--they had to get her out of the creek." And said,
"They had to use artificial respiration, and they had to
get a machine and pump the water out of her." Said, "She
had her skirt on. They was having a picnic. She was out
there and stepped in some sand, slipped off over her
head and strangled in the water. They didn't notice her.
And directly they seen her coming up and going down, and
they run in and got her and brought her out." And said,
"She almost died." I said, "That was her time to go."
See, God
knows what He's doing. Now, the Lord probably would've
told me that if I hadn't have taken the attitude that I
did, "Lord, You owe me, to tell me about that." He don't
owe you nothing.
155 I
stood in a meeting one night and heard an evangelist
praying for a sick person, said, "God, I command You to
heal this person." Who? Command God? …it isn't even
intelligent, God, He does what He wants to.
Can
the--can the clay say to the potter, "Why did you make
