ISAIAH 55:6 Seek ye
the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while
he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto
the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our
God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Because we are all sinners:
ROMANS 3:10 As it is
written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God;
ROMANS 5:12 Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by
sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned:
We all have to Repent:
LUKE 13:5 I tell you,
Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.
ACTS 3:19 Repent ye
therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come
from the presence of the Lord;
We Must Be Baptized
MARK 16:16 He that
believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.
I PETER 3:21 The like
figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also now save us
(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the
answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ:
By Immersion in Water
JOHN 3:23 And John also
was baptizing in AEnon near to Salim, because there was
much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
ACTS 8:36 And as they
went on [their] way, they came unto a certain water: and
the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what doth hinder
me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest
with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and
said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38
And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they
went down both into the water, both Philip and the
eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come
up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away
Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on
his way rejoicing.
This was the Apostle’s
Pattern
:
I SAMUEL 15:22 And
Samuel said, Hath the LORD [as great] delight in burnt
offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the
LORD? Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and]
to hearken than the fat of rams.
LUKE 24:45 Then opened
he their understanding, that they might understand the
scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written,
and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from
the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and
remission of sins should be preached in his name among
all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are
witnesses of these things.
ACTS 2:36 Therefore let
all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath
made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord
and Christ. 37 Now when they heard [this], they were
pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the
rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we
do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift
of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and
to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even]
as many as the Lord our God shall call.
ACTS 8:14 Now when the
apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had
received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and
John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them,
that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet
he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized
in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they
[their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Those not Baptized Correctly
were Commanded to be Rebaptized
ACTS 19:1 And it came to
pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having
passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and
finding certain disciples, 2 He said unto them, Have ye
received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said
unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be
any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then
were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of
repentance, saying unto the people, that they should
believe on him which should come after him, that is, on
Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard [this], they were
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul
had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on
them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
(Also Acts 10:48)
Even a Prophet Must Not
Disagree with the Scripture
GALATIANS 1:8 But though
we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let
him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now
again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you
than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
I CORINTHIANS 14:37 If
any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let
him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you
are the commandments of the Lord.
We Must Receive the Holy
Spirit
ACTS 1:4 And, being
assembled together with [them], commanded them that they
should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the
promise of the Father, which, [saith he], ye have heard
of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye
shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days
hence.
JOHN 16:7 Nevertheless I
tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go
away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come
unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin,
and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because
they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I
go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment,
because the prince of this world is judged. 12 I have
yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them
now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak
of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall
he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He
shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and
shall shew [it] unto you.
ACTS 1:8 But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth.
ROMANS 8:9 But ye are
not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the
Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the
Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ
[be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the
Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. But if the
Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell
in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall
also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that
dwelleth in you.
ACTS 10:44 While Peter
yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them
which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision
which believed were astonished, as many as came with
Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out
the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak
with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as
we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name
of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Therefore thus
will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do
this unto thee,
prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. AMOS 4:12

Foundation. This is the Blueprint. This is where God
lives. This is His Word. This is God.
RAPTURE 65-1204 18 We're
at a corner.... Everybody laying the bricks right down
the same row, like a certain denomination starts and
starts rolling down the row, it's all right; but when
you get to them turns where you have to turn back the
other way... Now, God isn't building a wall; He's
building a house. See? And there's many cuts and turns
that He's predicted here in the Bible. Anybody could try
to make a turn, but it must be according to the
blueprint. If it isn't, it's got to be torn down again.
COD 64-0823M 940-87 Now,
I believe that you are saved by accepting Jesus Christ.
And water baptism is an outward expression to show that
something inwardly has happened, because water has no
virtue; it's just a symbol. There's many people that say
they're saved; many are baptized in Jesus' Name; many
speak in tongues, and have all kinds of signs of the
Holy Ghost, and still not even saved. That's right.
"Many will come to Me in that day and say, 'Lord, have
not I prophesied in Your Name?' (preacher), 'Have not I
in Your Name cast out devils and done many mighty
works.'" He'd say, "Depart from Me, you that work
iniquity; I never even knew you." See? So all those
things, yet it's God; it's in His hands. You say, "Well
then, why do you recall the people to be rebaptized?" Is
because I'm following the pattern of the beginning. We
can't lose that blueprint.
PARADOX.A 65-0117 139
Now, let me give you a great noble paradox here, just a
minute. In John 14:12, Jesus said, promised that the
believer that believed on Him, would do the same works.
God, Who makes a law or a promise, must keep that
promise to be God.... Why, It's a paradox itself; for
God, Who makes a promise and cannot break that promise,
to give that promise of the things that He did to His
people to follow throughout the age until He returned
again. "Go ye into all the world, preach the Gospel to
every creature (every creature, all the world.); he that
believeth and is baptized shall be saved, and he that
believeth not shall be damned; and these signs shall
follow them that believe." He's got to keep that Word.
And because He said it, it went from His mouth, it's got
to be fulfilled.
